note: The most popular gathering spot for
student s at both Albanyville High School and Albanyville
can always see students sipping on a cream soda while studying or students and
local residents just enjoying conversation. The establishment is so named
for the large wishing well right outside the front door. Late in the
semester, you can see everyone wishing to pass finals.

drink and listen to music or dance to a big band in the show room. very
popular with the locals and also with the older students at Albanyville
University. occasionally attracts some of the less respectable
citizens of nearby Riverside.
GRAND SUNSET ROOM

note: The most lavish of restaurants in
town, this room is often rented out for the swankest parties. Any event
that is thrown here is sure to be one of the highlights of the social season.

gather in the warmer months, the park is right across the street from both
the Albany County Courthouse and City Hall as well as the local police and
fire departments and Albanyville General Hospital.

note: This lush club is located near the predominantly Negro section
of Albanyville and, thus, has a predominantly Negro clientele. However,
this club has been known to be a gathering spot for all types of people.
